While attending Salt Lake Community College to pursue her Associate's degree, Sam took a business philosophy class that ultimately made her fall in love with business studies. More specifically, she understood the critical role marketing had in business and decided that she would learn more about it. She soon discovered that marketing and innovation were the backbone of any business and decided to hone in on marketing. Upon the completion of her Associate's degree at Salt Lake Community College, Sam will begin working on her Bachelor’s degree in marketing at Westminster College.

When she is not actively learning about new marketing techniques, Sam enjoys hiking the beautiful Wasatch mountains, indoor rock climbing, working out and traveling. At one point she went to Mexico and resided there for a year, perfecting her Spanish. Traveling has given her the opportunity to network and understand different cultural backgrounds, making her a more well-rounded person.
